Boxes of Blow:
Ο Αλέξιος ‘Οθων Θεοδωρίδης (κιθάρα, synths, ενορχήστρωση), ο Θοδωρής Κουτσογιάννης (φωνή, στίχοι) και ο Κώστας Μαυρομμάτης (μπάσο) είναι οι Boxes of Blow, μια darkwave/post-punk μπάντα από την Αθήνα, που σχηματίστηκε το 2016. Ο ήχος τους συνδυάζει ατμοσφαιρικές κιθάρες, synths, μπάσο και ρυθμικά drums, δημιουργώντας ένα σκοτεινό, θορυβώδες ηχητικό τοπίο. Το πρώτο τους LP, Dystopia (2022), αποτυπώνει ονειρικές υφές και συναισθηματική ένταση, εξερευνώντας θέματα άγχους, απομόνωσης και χαμένης ελπίδας. Με το πρόσφατο άλμπουμ τους, Human Cries (2024), διευρύνουν το ηχητικό τους φάσμα — συνδυάζοντας τον μινιμαλισμό του coldwave με το στοιχειωτικό βάθος του darkwave — δημιουργώντας ένα δυστοπικό, φορτισμένο ηχητικό ταξίδι μέσα από τις ανθρώπινες δυσκολίες.

Circus Caravan:
Ο Θωμάς Κυρίτσης (κιθάρα), ο Αλέξης Λαγκαδίτης (κιθάρα-φωνή-samples) και ο Βασίλης Κυρίτσης (κιθάρα) είναι οι Circus Caravan. Ως τρίο πλέον, συνδυάζουν ηλεκτρονικούς και ακουστικούς ήχους και επαναπροσεγγίζουν τον post alternative ήχο των δύο albums Scattered Sketches και Chapter 0 αλλά και νέων ακυκλοφόρητων συνθέσεων, μέσα από μία πιο experimental οπτική.
Οι κιθάρες και τα εφέ συνδυάζονται με ηλεκτρονικά samples, τύμπανα και φωνητικά δημιουργώντας ένα μοναδικό ηχητικό ταξίδι.

Thursday 24.04 Underathens welcomes Boxes of Blow and Circus Caravan

Boxes of Blow:
Alexios Othon Theodoridis (guitars, synths, orchestration), Thodoris Koutsogiannis: (lead vocals, lyrics) and Kostas Mavrommatis (bass) are Boxes of Blow, a darkwave/post-punk band from Athens, Greece, formed in 2016. Their sound blends atmospheric guitars, synths, bass, and rhythmic drums, creating a moody, noise-infused style. Their debut LP Dystopia (2022) channels dreamy textures and emotional intensity, expressing themes of anxiety, isolation, and lost hope. With their follow-up Human Cries (2024), they deepen their sonic palette—merging coldwave’s stark minimalism with darkwave’s haunting depth—to evoke a dystopic, emotionally charged journey through the struggles of the human condition.

Circus Caravan:
Thomas Kyritsis (guitar), Alexis Lagaditis (guitar-voice-samples) and Vassilis Kyritsis (guitar) are Circus Caravan. As a trio in recent years, they combine electronic and acoustic sounds and re-approach the post alternative sound of the two albums Scattered Sketches and Chapter 0 as well as new unreleased compositions, through a more experimental perspective.
Guitars and effects combine with electronic samples, drums and vocals creating a unique sonic journey.
