Αυτή την Κυριακή πάμε στα υπόγεια ενός εγκαταλελειμμένου εργοστάσιου στο Μοσχάτο. Η ιδιαιτερότητα αυτού του εργοστασίου είναι ότι τα υπόγεια του είναι διαρκώς πλυμμηρισμένα! Θα υπάρχουν κάποιες περιορισμένες θέσεις θέασης και μέσα στο νερό!
Η βραδιά θα ξεκινήσει στις 19.00 με μια υπέροχη ταινία καταγραφής. Ο λόγος για τον κύριο Orozco τον νεκροθάφτη-ταρριχευτή! Καθώς θα δούμε την ταινία Orozco the Embalmer του Kiyotaka Tsurisaki. Ο οποίος παρακολουθεί τον Orozco στη δουλειά του. Ποια είναι η δουλειά του; Να προετοιμάζει τα πτώματα για την κηδεία τους. Ο Orozco βρίσκεται σην Κολομβία και “περιποιείται” κυρίως τα πτώματα που πεθαίνουν σε δρόμους της Κολομβίας με υψηλά ποσοστά βίας! Ο Ιάπωνας σκηνοθέτης Kiyotaka Tsurisaki, είναι μετρ στο είδος, ακόμα κι αν η πρωταρχική του δουλειά είναι αυτή της φωτογραφίας. Έχει αφιερώσει το έργο του -με χιλιάδες κλικς- σε νεκρά σώματα. Φωτογραφίζοντας από την Ταϊλάνδη μέχρι την Παλαιστίνη, σε μέρη όπου ο θάνατος είναι κάτι που συμβαίνει από λεπτό σε λεπτό.
Τέλος, σε άλλο κλίμα, η βραδιά θα κλείσει με την προβολή του ντοκιμαντέρ “Το στρώμα της καταστροφής” του Κώστα Βρεττάκου. Ένα ντοκιμαντέρ για το φράγμα του Μόρνου πριν το φράγμα του Μόρνου. Αλλά και μια μνημειώδη ταινία που ανοίγει ένα παράθυρο θέασης στην πραξικοπηματική βία των εξουσιών, την δύναμη αλλά και την πολυπλοκότητα μέσω της οποίας εξαφοράζεται η κοινή γνώμη για να επιτύχουν οι εξουσίες τους γεωπολιτικούς τους στόχους. Αυτό το μισάωρο ντοκιμαντέρ θα κλείσει τη βραδιά και θα ξεκινήσει περίπου στις 21.00!
Η ταινία Orozco the Embalmer θα προβληθεί σε πρωτότυπη γλώσσα με ελληνικούς και αγγλικούς υπότιτλους. Η ταινία Το στρώμα της καταστροφής θα προβληθεί σε πρωτότυπη ελληνική γλώσσα χωρίς υπότιτλους.

This Sunday we are heading to the underground levels of an abandoned factory in Moschato.
The peculiarity of this factory is that its basements are constantly flooded!
There will be a limited number of viewing spots, including positions inside the water.
The evening will begin at 19:00 with a remarkable documentary film.
We will screen Orozco the Embalmer by Kiyotaka Tsurisaki, a film that follows Mr. Orozco, a gravedigger–embalmer, at work.
What is his job? Preparing bodies for burial. Orozco works in Colombia and “cares for” mainly bodies of people who die on the streets of areas marked by extremely high levels of violence.
The Japanese director Kiyotaka Tsurisaki is a master of the genre, even though his primary practice is photography. He has devoted his work—through thousands of shots—to dead bodies, photographing from Thailand to Palestine, in places where death is something that can happen at any minute.
Finally, in a different tone, the evening will close with the screening of the documentary Layer of Destruction by Costas Vrettakos.
A documentary about the Mornos Dam before the dam was built, and at the same time a monumental film that opens a window onto the coup-like violence of power: the force and complexity through which public opinion is shaped in order for authorities to achieve their geopolitical goals.
This half-hour documentary will conclude the evening and will begin at approximately 21:00.
Orozco the Embalmer will be screened in its original language with Greek and English subtitles.
The Layer of Destruction will be screened in its original Greek language without subtitles.
Due to the particular nature of the screening location, we kindly ask you to arrive on time so that we can settle in more comfortably.
Optionally, you may bring rubber boots, which will enhance the experience!
